About Erica Bliss Winston, LMBT |
|
Erica Bliss Winston, LMBT (NC License # 4797) is a licensed Massage & Bodywork Therapist based in the Cary area. Ms. Winston provides individually tailored massage therapy focused on relieving pain and chronically stored stress. She uses a mix of deep tissue, neuromuscular therapy and myofascial release techniques to:
Ms. Winston is an Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP) Certified Member. Ms. Winston graduated from the Therapeutic Massage program at Wake Technical Community College in 2004. Prior to her studies, she was personally deeply involved in therapeutic massage, which resulted in becoming pain and migraine-free. Her early career in software programming, training and consulting sensitized her to the toll of long hours at a desk and the repetitive use syndromes that result from high stress. Our bodies adapt to this life style by tightening muscles and restricting circulation and upsetting the natural muscle balances. Over time pain results, but it is reversible, and massage therapy can restore the body to balance and flexibility as well, or even better than, any other method. Her post-certification education has been with some of the leading massage therapy figures: Tom Myers of Anatomy Trains and Kinesis Myofascial Integration; Bob King, founder and past-president of the Chicago School of Massage Therapy; and Judith Delaney Walker, developer of Neuromuscular Therapy, American Style. Ms. Winston shares her expertise in massage therapy by writing on massage therapy and self-care of the muskuol-skeletal system: Ms. Winston is a passionate gardener and cares over a garden that is a certified national wildlife backyard habitat. She is an Board Officer of the Raleigh Garden Club and a nationally accredited (NGC) Student Judge for horticulture and floral design. She and her husband oversee the Indigo Life Center, The Triangle's Portal to Alternative Medicine and Holistic Health, as a gift of service to the many great healers residing here in the Triangle. |
Massage with Erica Bliss Winston, LMBT "Really made a difference! my chiropractor recommended massage with Erica to loosen up the muscles. It really worked. I left feeling much better and it's lasted all week now. Erica really worked into the muscles. She could feel the tight spots and work them out. Even though it was deep tissue work, she was careful not to cause pain. She's got very sensitive hands. This was a great massage!" --Client with low back pain "Erica has used her natural talent of touch to restore my mobility and energy following a pregnancy and difficult period of infancy. She seems to have an innate sense of discovery and healing. Her focus and touch are beyond any massages I've had in NC or VA. I give her the highest of recommendations and encourage you to try her." --Client "Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know my knees have been feeling great! I've been pain free for several days now and I am amazed! Thank you thank you thank you" -- Client with chronic pain 1 year after knee surgery "Last night is the first night in almost 3 years that I did not have some kind of pain when I lay down to sleep. And I slept for a straight 5 hours without even moving. I woke up in the same position. that never happens!!It was just wonderfully relaxing and peaceful, the massage...I will sign up to be on your table anytime." -- Client with fibromyalgia |
